Suzan St Maur

Canadian-born Suze emerged from British education with a couple of “A” levels and no talent for anything other than writing, so her career options were clear. After graduating from the then-famous Watford Art School she worked in London ad agencies as a copywriter for a few years, before deciding she was too bolshie to be employed and so went freelance.

These days Suze still takes on commissioned text, speechwriting, scriptwriting and editing, in addition to running her other business interests and of course, writing nonfiction books – 22 published/contracted titles so far.

On a less cheerful note, Suze has had cancer twice and a few years ago started the blog Cancer Comic Strip which has become a popular meeting place for cancer patients, their carers, families and friends.

Suze lives in a village in central southern England with her student/musician son plus various animals including a fox under the shed and a visiting badger. When she isn’t writing Suze is cooking, gardening, dog-walking, or sipping a decent Chablis.
